I think what you need to do to get your picture is this:

Right click on the above picture. Then select Save Image As and save the picture on to your PC (remember where you've saved it!).
Then go to Manage - My Profile. Then by My Primary Picture select the edit button (I'm not sure if you will have to click the remove button beforehand). This takes you to the files on your PC and you'll then need to locate the picture you saved, select that so that it can be uploaded onto LiveCloud, and hopefully that should work.

I have come up with a way of adding your usual signature, though whether LiveCloud will approve is another matter. Before you start to post a comment, go to Manage - My Profile where your signature is shown. Highlight your signature with your mouse (or whatever cats use) and press Ctrl and C. This copies the signature onto your clipboard. Make your post in the normal way, then at the bottom, on a new line, press Ctrl and V. This copies your signature to your posting. Then submit comment as usual. You should be able to repeat this for other postings without having to go back to Manage - My Profile each time, until you either copy something else onto your clipboard or you quit.

This business with vanishing avatars is strange. If I use IE8 many of the avatars are missing, but if I use Firefox, they are all there. So the problem is definitely to do with the browser people are using and probably its settings.

They're ALL there now and I'm not doing anything different from usual - but most of the smilies in the smiley box have disappeared again.

From the results, I chose the cached option (I think the direct link will take you direct to the equivalent Livecloud page). The original page is shown, but only briefly before being replaced by the Livcloud page, but if you are quick enough, right click on the image and select Properties, highlight the address and copy.
