Are you SURE there's stuff missing? On GaGa there were only 15 posts to a page. Here there are 40 posts to a page.
15 x78=1170
30 x 40=1200
It says there are 1172 replies, so it looks like it might be ok. 
Your OP shows at the top of EACH page under that it says replies(1173), or whatever the current amount is then there's a bit that says 'first|previous|next|last' these are navigation buttons and at the bottom of the page it shows page numbers the way we saw them on the old GaGa.
*puts cheese, cream, haddock and smoked ham in the fridge for the cats and a couple of bones for bagabones.*
Hope you're all ok and settling in nicely. I see all the pet beds have turned up and that the litter trays are full of nice clean stuff.

is there some secret passage between the cloudy place and here and back again and, if so, how do i find it?

SITES on the top bar, GaGaJoyJoy is listed there. Then again you can use your browser's BACK button.

Hi, hope you don't mind me popping in. I don't think permalink is very interesting. I think all it does is that if you click on the Permalink button by a posting, next time you visit that page, you go to that posting rather than the top of the page. At present when you go to a page you go to the top of the page. You can scroll up and down. The Page Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard can be used instead - these can be a bit quicker. The Home key moves you to the top of the page, and the End key to the bottom. In the next site update in October, we are supposed to be getting the option of being able to go direct to the last posting in the topic.
I'll let Mrs Fluffy answer the query on how to do a quote as you asked her, but it does not automatically show the name of the person of whom you are quoting. You can insert the name when you are making your posting, but this has been one of the most criticised parts of the Livecloud setup. As for trying to nest quotes inside other quotes as we could do on Eve, forget it - the result is a mess unless you spend ages reformatting it. Whether this will change in the future, who knows.

All you do is highlight the bit you want to quote then open a reply box. The highlighted text will appear automatically. I just typed your name next to 'reference'

On LiveCloud, the size of our avatars is 50 by 50 pixels. Your avatar on Eve was something like 44 by 53. As a result the outer edges of your avatar have been gobbled up by the LiveCloud wolves. You will probably need to select a new avatar making sure that it is 50 by 50. If you are feeling adventurous, you may be able to download your exisitng avatar onto your PC, try to edit it into a 50 by 50 sqaure which isn't easy if you've just got Paint, then download it onto LiveCloud.
And if you haven't spotted it, our signatures have been killed off other than the very first posting on a topic.

Actually, it's slightly different: if you right-click on permlink in a post, it gives you a specific "address" for that post. So, you can send it to someone's attention, like in an email, or another post. As an experiment, I have permalinked El Loro's post above, where he explains to you what he thinks a permalink is. You are right, I had'nt tried right-clicking on Permalink. You get a load of options, which vary depending on which browser you are using. I have noticed that you can add the link to Favourites (for Explorer) or Bookmarks (for Firefox), so that if you want to, you can go straight to that posting from your browser menu.Reference:el loro

they've got no stamina at all.
they play with you for a bit and then they suddenly curl up what legs they've not carelessly lost and fall asleep.
no matter how much you prod them they won't wake up again.
