EC, if you click on the link you will get a considerably better picture than is possible to show on the forum and it's only been released by NASA in the last day or so. It's 16 times the size of the picture shown here. As the picture is 70mb in size it will take time on slower connections.
I keep an eye out for Nasa photographs as I read they were releasing pictures. Yesterday I was looking at a photograph which was focused on a part of Earth and they had caught an airliner, the article bemoaned the fact they were not using the new Canon 50MP sensor.
I also do regular Google searches for astronomical pictures, but rarely post any. My astronomical photos tend to be from Earth looking up at the stars.
I will be grabbing the picture so that I can adjust it for my mobile phone wallpaper.
