Baz, I saw yours and other comments on the Bake Off thread and I thought it worth posting the full advert. Could be the advert of the year

Yes
Though another contender for advert of the year would be the new Ford Focus one:
The music is called Transformation by The Cinematic Orchestra and was part of the soundtrack for the 2008 Disney documentary film The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos.

@El Loro I am a huge fan of Cinematic Orchestra and have seen them live in Rotterdam. They are not so prolific, but have released a handful of albums over the years. I highly recommend listening to all of their output.
Did I mention I was a big fan?
Here is one of my faves...
Has a lovely jazzy vibe.
@Baz You may enjoy this piece by TCO.
Also TCO wrote a soundtrack to A Man with a Movie Camera.
Thanks EC
By the way it's "Man with a Movie Camera" That was a 1929 Russian documentary which is a montage of life in Moscow. It's a silent film and various soundtracks have been added over the years.

Man With... is a film that I saw many years ago and fell in love with the Dziga Vertov film. A local Sheffield band 'In The Nursery' write scores for many silent movies, then perform them live while we (the audience) watch the film. The scores are usually performed in unusual locations, I have seen (THE PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC: Carl Theodore. Dreyer, France 1928) in Sheffield Cathedral and (12 ANGRY MEN) in courtroom in Sheffield Crown Court.
Going back to Man With... I have purchased the film from both Eureka - Master of Cinema and BFI, both on blu-ray and both with difference scores. One with The Alloy Orchestra and the other Michael Nyman.
Below are the covers from the releases. The Eureka release is a beauty.

BFI Release
Iâve just listened to some of their albums ...and love the flamingo one....Crimson Wing
I like this thread
So do I.
The new Focus is a blob though.
What happened with car design?
@Enthusiastic Contrafibularities, I see you mention Dreyer's "The Passion of Joan of Arc". That has similarities with "Man with.." in that they are silent films where various soundtracks have been added to over the years. Dreyer decided not to have any soundtrack added to the film and considered that it should be shown in complete silence. I think showing it in Sheffield Cathedral was appropriate given that it is one of the most powerful spiritual films ever made.
Spiritual is exactly how I am right now.
I have operated my whole life in spirit.
It's recognition of the faults.
What an amazing thread this is!!

Yes, I had read about Dreyer not having soundtracks to these films.

It was certainly an unforgettable experience in the cathedral, I have to say, watching 12 Angry Men in a courtroom was also very good, the score composed providing a complementary accompaniment to the film.
