I was talking about this rather disturbing and shocking thriller/horror to a few people the other day... so.... for those interested, it is on NOW on Sci fi channel (stupidly renamed 'syfy') and it's on at 11pm on the syfy PLUS one.  It has only just started though ...if you wanna catch it on syfy  Watch it if you dare!!!  It is nor for the faint hearted or the queasy though.  And if you are feeling a bit rough or queasy... tape it/sky plus it, and watch it when you feel better

Hope you enjoy it Crocotus.  The acting seems a bit ropey to start with but it gets better.  It's basically a cheaply made budget movie, but pretty disturbing and gross.

Yes it freaked me out to when i watched it, it's like your worst nightmare.

it's about a German guy who is a kind of a mad doctor katty, but the film is American I think...well it's in English language mostly anyway.

Thats why its recording and not being watched...my 12 year old is still up and i don't think it'll be suitable for him.

my daughter was going on about this film when it first came out...   she took great delight in telling us all the gory details (though she herself hasn't seen it, a load of the kids at her school had been talking about it)...

then they started showing it on syfy the other night...  hubby flicked to it.. and I saw the "centipede"..  I made him turn over...

then I stupidly went to Wiki and read about it..

this is why I don't watch stuff like this..    it gets stuck in my head, & I can't stop thinking about it..

that night I was trying not to think about it as I fell asleep...  went in for a cuddle with hubby (this story  isn't going anywhere really dodgy btw)..    and fell asleep..    awoke an hour later in the middle of a horrible human centipede nightmare...   and in the blur between sleep & awake I totally freaked out cos I was under the covers with my face pressed up against hubbies (hairy) chest..   and I had a OMFG moment ...    and repelled myself away from him with a little shriek.

He thinks I am a loony

I think thats the point..   its going for the shock factor.

Some critics refused to review or rate it...   but in a way that is like when Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax got banned when it was No.1 in the charts (god I is old)..   it helped ramp up its cult status to the kids.

my personal line is way way before the material in this film....   but I am a wussy (sort of...   my defense is that there is a enough crap & grief in real life..   when I watch something fictional I choose for it not to contain suffering)

If a plot line really intrigues me.. but I am too wussy to watch it..  then I go & read the wiki pages on it (Hostel, all the Saw films... )

Oh I do that... that way I can see what it about to satisfy my morbid curiosity but don't have to actually repulse myself by watching it.
