Aww I'm pleased for you! Have you decided what you want to do at uni (I'm assuming you're going??). My son had just started his AS year.....he's loving it so far, which was a bit of a shock as I had to practically shove him through the door!
I'm going insane about this really. I've no idea where I want to go, I've not properly looked at unis, I know I definitely want a gap year (or two), I've not even signed up to UCAS and they're telling us to start applying to where we want to go. I want to do English or go to an arts college but ohh it's so many massive decisions!! I wish someone else could be in charge of serious things for me and I could just pootle along, unaware of what's happening!!

What's your son doing?

Nighty night btw

And hi and night to Baz as well

He's doing Science, Maths, Statistics and Economics. Economics is his fave at the moment..... he wasn't going to do it but couldn't decide on a fourth option. I told him he would love it and he does. *smug mum moment*

Ahhh...... that's a hard decision Maz. If you have no idea what you want to do after uni yet... then I advise you to just pick the one you love the best. That way you at least have an amazing three years if nothing else.

I really am going now! This place is so hard to get out of once you're in.

mary - shouldn't interfere but I think it is best going  to uni straight after A levels
I don't always think a year out is needed and continuous study is best.
Son going this year to Aber to study English LIt - I bought his books and I think you would enjoy the expansive range of study - if interested I can outline it  - bu tI do advise you to join UCAS -  you might change your mind - let me know and I will tell you our experiences

Ah woww! They're all really full on subjects! He must be really clever

Yeah, I was thinking that, because at least I'll be happier that way than just doing something I sort of like, if that makes sense?

Night night (for real)

Ah you're probably right there really about going as soon as A Levels are over, but it's just so tempting to just take a year out, get some money to help with uni, relax from the endless years of studying and then just go off again. But I know I'd face potentially just thinking "oh it's ok I'll just stay here" which would be awful.

English lit at Aberdeen (I'm assuming that's what you meant by Aber? ) was something I actually wanted to do so yeahhh I'd be really interested to hear about it all if that's ok?

Yeah, I keep meaning to sign up but I just get side tracked but I'm determined to get it done by the end of this week. I've got all my references sorted, so that's a little step

Ahh, that's just down the road from me It's such a good uni as well! I'm really tempted to go to uni mostly just for the amazing times that people have there as well!

And night night btw

I should be off myself really, night everyone left
