First I got over the shock of paying $3 for washing and drying

Then even after reading two sets of instructions I didn't know how to activate the bloody thing

Then I found the place to pay for my washing

Then I found out that I put in farrrrr too much detergent

so I cleaned it up myself with not-very-strong serviettes

I'm not like this at home honest

I hate shopping too and only ever go ut if absolutely necessary. But for some reason it seems to be the way to acclimitaze to being back.

by the way the sun is out here and babyvan tells me it's boiling.

I'm freezing...

Thank yu for the sympathy. When the plane landed everyone was in shorts t-shirts and flipflops. I was in trousers boots two coats and shivering.

I actually remember doing food shopping (for myself of course

) when I was twelve (and so obviously still at home

). It was sooooo nice walking around Safeway at my own pace
