I was the same, though I will admit I spend more time at the beach in the winter than in the summer. THere is something particularly wonderful about a beach on boxing day, when everyone is there for the sea air and a stroll rather than a hot and sweaty beach filled with half naked bodies, roasting.

My favourite time is during a winter storm. I love it when the waves are a bit crazy. Laugh

We were once on the beach in a hailstorm. That was weird. Crazy

I love going to Spain in late November, although you look like a mutt in your summer clothes while all the Spanish OAPs are muffled up to the eyeballs

It's not too bad where I am, but when my cousin came to visit a couple of weeks ago we went to Torrevieka and walked along the prom by the beach.. It was heaving... And it's a really small beach but you couldn't see the sand it was that packed... Laugh

Are you on the Southern Costa Blanca Van? We almost moved to Moraira on the Northern bit a few years ago. Nod

If I sat here verbally pondering whether or not to go get my 10 lengths for the day, Mr Ditty would have his shorts around his ankles and his big smile on in under 10 seconds!

I love it here. Cartegena is 45 mins the other way down the motorway, it's lovely there.

My Sister lives in Murcia too, but she lives inland in the mountains, just over an hour from me in the middle of the Sierra Espuna national park. So I get the best of all of it here. ....

Crying Until Wednesday anyway.... Crying

Yes on Wednesday. Crying It will just be a holiday home for a while. I'm just trying to think which Statue you mean? I don't often go through Murcia that way, and there is one on the other side as well, where they have just widened the road and all the trucks used to crash... and spill oranges, potatoes and the such like all by the side of the road. (guess that's why they widened it... it straightened it out a bit too.)
