I'm lucky if I can find the task manager. Which reminds me...... Ditty, Charli, and any other secret techies onboard.....
The whole time I'm on the forum I'm using windows media player to listen to music, and I have the controls on the task bar. On a previous laptop I had problems with it. It would work fine for a while then ever so often at the end of a song the whole task bar would freeze and I'd have to restart the laptop to get it back.
Last night it happened again on my new laptop.
Any ideas? Except for the obvious one of not putting the controls in the task bar. Is there any way I can sort it through task manager without having to re-start?

I always tell the kids... the only REAL way to learn about computers, is to totally **** one up, and have to try and mend it!
I am a habitual button pusher.... and have no patience! Have caused fatal errors on a couple of friends pc's in the past... and had to put em back together again!
Curiosity.. kills the pc! (sometimes!)

I am crap at hands off tech support Ducky.... (am a not good at 'teaching')... I'd have to have a button pressing frenzy!
You could try using a different media player... its sounding like a microsoft conflict.
Also... if you're using Vista.. then I can't help! I hate Vista with a passion... and I don't know my way round it... I went back to XP on this laptop!

*bets the password was either admin or password!!*If you don't have admin privileges then you're always gonna be limited in what you can do!
