Ditto Mind you , I don’t know that much about our own history during the 1700s .....plenty before and after , but that decade is a gaping hole in my knowledge 

It's sort of the beginning of the Enlightenment , so I studied it, but as usual there was nothing about Russia in the Lectures,all Britain and France

I somehow missed most of the enlightenment period ...apart from odds and ends ....think I switched to American history then
