Yes, the clearing out and setting was a pain. Iâve got a tiny scar with coal dust in it, on one of my index fingers - cut it when I was clearing out the fire and was too wimpy to scrub it out

Dad did that for us in the orning...he was always up first. I can remember us buying little bundles of sticks at the corner shop to put on the fire to make it start
