just googled - Hitler decided to head for Prussia instead and had his eye on Russia  -  not sure how accurate that is

Prussia was part of Germany.....he did want Ukraine because of its agriculture and also for his policy of Lebensraum

perhaps he just got greedy kaytee and lost focus   -not got a depth of knowledge about it - feel ashamed at times of my gaps

that's the criteria he wanted to meet to advance on Britain..I remembered two  I googled

  • The RAF was to be "beaten down in its morale and in fact, that it can no longer display any appreciable aggressive force in opposition to the German crossing".
  • The English Channel was to be swept of British mines at the crossing points, and the Strait of Dover must be blocked at both ends by German mines.
  • The coastal zone between occupied France and England must be dominated by heavy artillery.
  • The Royal Navy must be sufficiently engaged in the North Sea and the Mediterranean so that it could not intervene in the crossing. British home squadrons must be damaged or destroyed by air and torpedo attacks.

I just studied to the  O and A level syllabus and read around that -  I think studying it at uni massively widens your research and knowledge -  and having  a real historic hunger  to read and learn about it
