it wouldn't have...remember the sea level would be much lower then and the inland water would not be deep

I flew to Basel and went from there by coach....played snowballs on top of the Bremmer Pass....in the summer😂

Planes were grounded for days so a big group of us hired a coach and drove back via the channel tunnel.

To many years ago for me to contemplate, ......... amazing that those tools survived thousands of years and my modern day tools and appliances collapse in a heap of rust after a  very short while........
