I was at uni with a woman whose dad was one of the first there,,,he was a surgeon and after he died they found a case full of documents and photos ...she donated them to the war museum....she said she could only look at a few,they made her feel sick

He was a very strong swimmer...he says it was nothing , but apparently it was a hard swim because there was a danger of being dragged under as the ship sank and nobody knew where the U boat was
