that's true...although Hitler made some massive mistakes too. I certainly think we would have lost if it weren't for America.  Even if the message had been passed on that the Japenese were going to attack, the USA would have still declared war, but many, many lives would have been saved that day.

Sadly, I’m sure he did, Baz.
An old friend of my dad’s was a Japanese POW. He didn’t talk about it very much but the mental scars were there for life.

My Grandad would never talk about it too Yogi....the horrors of it must have been horrendous

Yes , my dad didn’t talk about it ....except occasionally to tell an amusing story ......but he was still having nightmares right up until he died ....
