can we move a little down the Road and wonder why Holbeach  Lincs didnt do something about this  instead of letting it get swept back again and now washed up on one of the nicest beaches along this coast

The sperm whale which was found washed up on Old Hunstanton Beach today. Picture: Chris Bishop

Scientists from the Zooological Society have already taken samples from the animal, which will be left to be carried away by the tide to decompose naturally.

It has become a Taurist attraction over the weekend

it personally gives me the shudders and I am really pleased I dont have any little ones to take to this beach this Summer

If it had happened at sea and never been washed up I know it would have decomposed naturally but as it is several days later and hasnt been swept back with the tide I think it should  be manually disposed of

If it is the same whale Holbeach should have dealt with it weeks ago !!!

Rexi its true (and its a tory borough with a tory county council)  but it is a drop in the ocean compared to other money that has been wasted.

Mrs H i know there is a bombing range at Friskney (although i think it has recently closed) but i didn't realise there was one at Holbeach - presumely it's at st johns or st marks?
