Morning all.

Well I go out last night and it all happens.  Not sure about this whole coalition thing, but hope that it will curb the worse Tory excesses.

Gordon Brown was very dignified last night I feel when he announced his resignation as PM and I feel that had he not have followed Tony Blair and made that mistake during the campaign he may have stood more of a chance.

Mr Pink has said how strange is it that the man who basically finished third in the election is now the Deputy PM and if something happened with David Cameron would run the country, some of the cabinet selections are ok as well, glad to see Vince Cable involved.

I have loved reading and taking part in this thread BTW, although many of us have had opposing views, we have discussed them and not let it descend into arguments, it's been great.  Wonder how long it will be before we are doing it all over again?

Seriously though...   half my problems with David Cameron & his party, even before the election was the pointing and criticism of what they felt GB was doing wrong... but without then saying how it should be done.

Stop the childish tit for tat stuff & work together for the good of the people!
& yeah... I know it'll never happen... but its how it should be!

There will be some difficulties obviously. They are new to coalition by and large. But I don,t much like the idea of people positively wanting failure so they can say "I told you so." I cannot believe it is beyond the wit of man to be creative, constructive and positive. I wish them well.
In total agreement with you, Brisket.

I asked on here many moons ago what exactly the Tories would have done differently-big decision wise.

Still waiting....... **Looks at watch**

That's me. But I would never be smug about it. All this business about, "We are doing it all in the interest of the British interest!" Dingo's kidneys.
Exactly ............when they say 'British interest' what do they mean exactly? What about those working in the public sector who are hanging on to their seats not knowing whether they're gonna lose their jobs or not ..........it's pretty obvious a lot of them are ..........and those on a low income who rely on family/working tax credits for a living wage ...........who knows where the axe will fall there. Hey ho ........just as long as there is money for the 'Free Schools' .........everythings alright.
