*Attempts an on topic post*

From the BBC......Lance Price, a former special adviser to Tony Blair, tells the BBC: The fact there have not been any leaks from the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives suggests that these talks are going well. If they were not you would see one side or the other putting pressure on through the media.

Are all our nails bitten to the quick or are we all getting a tad bored now?

but yeah... I'm a bit scared too...
I'm trying very hard not to judge them too harshly before I know all the facts.

I do believe they are doing absolutely the right thing in talking to the Tories first..... but if they make a deal that does not include a referendum on PR then they will lose my respect forever. So I'm scared too.

Havig said that... if they don't make a deal with the Tories, then I think the Tories should go ahead with a minority government. A government that doesn't include the party who won the most votes just wouldn't seem right to me (no matter how much I'd prefer it )

I think they are between a rock and a hard place., cos I think if they jump into bed with Labour simply for PR then I will lose all respect for them.....

The wording has subtly moved from Electoral Reform to Political Reform which is slightly different.

Oh and I read up on Alternative Vote Plus ...which is one of the leading choices for PR... you vote for an MP as per usual .. but only about 500 of them.. and then by some complex second choice and proportion of votes you may, or may not get more MPs for your County

How very dare we tell them we want it done differently... we just don't understand.. blah de blah!

Its arrogance....  and I desperately hope that what comes out of this is those people are brought back down to earth with a bang... and any of them that cannot accept that they are PUBLIC servants go and do something else......ref: ditty

well much as I am all for full on Political Reform...  when I have used the term PR I mean proportional representation....

& Z  -   My head hurt when I was reading through the four voting systems...

I just want to be able to cast my vote for which party I would like to see govern the country....

then I would like to cast a different vote for who I want to do the local stuff!

2 votes... for 2 separate counts...

not my vote being for who gets through to heat 1.    & if my vote wasn't for the winner of heat 1 well.. unlucky... off you toddle.
