Labour has always been in favour and funded childrens centres,  with conservatives in power, if DC cuts the spending theres a big chance thousands of people will lose their job.
Meaty, why do you think DC will cut spending on Children's Centres, I've not seen anything that suggests that? The Conservative manifesto says that they will: Work to improve Sure Start and increase the services provided in Children’s Centres across the country.
Yes there will be cuts in public services, (whoever governs,) but surely these will be largely in management/administration and national schemes like Contact Point and (hopefully,) the total waste of money that is the Independent Safeguarding Authority  registration scheme

Just popped back to ask....if the labour party think that a multi party govt is the way to go...why didn't they change the system when they were in charge?? And would they be offering the libs the chance to join in if they had won via a majority?? (hope this makes sense...just seen Ed the Duck Milliband on Sky news and he was saying that this could be a good thing and that the parties working together is the best solution....would he have said this had labour won? Would they have admitted they need help!!!)

no.. course they wouldn't.   But in fairness, none of them would unless forced into it.

If Ed (chin diminishing by the month) milliband meant that this is the situation... so why not actually embrace it and give a real go... then I agree.

This could actually be a lightbulb moment for a few of them.   Or... emergency save yourself tactics...

who knows
