and is a crap PM.... IMO

Only because he's socially inept. He is a sincere person who actually still believes in the same things he went into politics for. We've been fed from both major parties that Gordon Brown is crapp, but I think that is a form of bullying. I think he's one of these politicians who actually believe in what they are doing and nobody believes him. It's a shame.

You see,  I don't think he is sincere.... and I think that gaff the other day proved it..... but it would be a funny old world if we all thought the same

Our result is also due at around 3am Baz, I'm going to try and stay up until the bitter end although the constant going over to the "celebs" on BBC is rather getting on my nerves.

I think GB looked a defeated man tonight and I have a feeling whatever happens tonight/tomorrow, he will not be leader of the Labour party for much longer.

Birmingham Edgbaston's result due soon ~ a key marginal so it will be interesting to see how the voting has gone there

I have this unfortunate inbuilt cynicism .. I honestly never believe any politician is in politics for anyone but themselves.. if they happen to do a bit of good along the way they that is fine but I regard that as collateral 'damage' as it were. I think the expenses scandal only served to confirm this feeling
I totally agree with that Zaphod.....

I agree that he has no idea about people, but he has a very good idea about how people should be living. He got it completely wrong with the woman he called a bigot and I think this is a sign of our times where the slightes remark about immigrates makes you a bigot or racist and he fell into that trap. But when I look at him and David and Nick, the only sincere person I see is Gorden Brown.

The "problem" with Gordon Brown as I see it is that he does not come across well publicly, it seems now that since Tony Blair a politician has to be charismatic and that someone who is genuinely politically motivated, is seen as being boring, I don't think he has been that bad really, but sadly he is a man who cannot communicate in the way that we have now become accustomed to.
