Yep - just laughed like a drain at the eloquent Gallagher saying he wanted to be in a band like the Beatles...
Sorry Mincey - but it says it all

I'm watching it. It's really sad.

That bit where he said he wanted to stay healthy for his son
Very sad. The best musicians all seem to die young. Is there a curse on them?
I'm watching
Watching. ADORE Lennon.

Dunno, but then the saying is 'only the good die young'. Doesn't make sense considering some arseholes are still breathing!

All of them piss me off, they seem to be more interested in a story and being first to report it Only in America...
Oh God this is sad, but a celebration at the same time. Weird emotions.
Loved that

Noel Gallagher of Oasis going on about how wonderful John Lennon was?
Who'd have thought!
Next thing Paul Weller will be saying how much of a Mod he is, John Barrowman will be mentioning he's gay and Adrian Chiles will be telling us he's a West Brom fan.

We'll always wonder what he would have come up with had he stayed alive
I must say, I was very impressed by Yoko. You could see that she really loved him.
TBF a lot of the stuff he came up with post Beatles was rubbish. I did enjoy the Plastic ONO Band, working class hero, and Gimme some truth. But a lot of it was sentimental carp.
Interesting politics though.

I completely changed my opinion of her - she came across as dignified and one who had a great love for her husband.

I have always hated Imagine with a passion.. Self indulgent clap trap - sorry John
Yesterday was the 22nd Anniversary of Roy Orbisons death...now there was a bloke who had more than his share of tragedy.

Nope, written from the heart. John made a lot of life mistakes but one thing he always was - was sincere. He was asking for equality - peace for the world. What`s self indulgent about that?

I object your Honour! (in a PMT ragga style an ting)
Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it.
John Lennon
As usual there is a great woman behind every idiot.
Everybody loves you when you're 6' in the ground
more quotes from John Lennon

Actually I regret the use of the word rubbish. Let's just say that I didn't like some of it.

I don't know Scotty - it is all about perception and to me this song just screamed cliche.Don't get me wrong - I love the Beatles and I did love some of the post Beatle stuff. But this one i hated. I also hated " Merry Christmas ( war is over)."

Don't agree with that either.Don't think me and him would have got on too well. I aint horizontally chilled like Yoko
I like this one but I don't know who said it:
It's not the length of the life or the depth of the grave, in the end you'll be measured by the love that you gave.
I'm anticipating a small service

"and in the end the love you make, is equal to the love you take"That is from Golden Slumbers - one of my favourite Beatles tracks....
