Yep - just laughed like a drain at the eloquent Gallagher saying he wanted to be in a band like the Beatles...
Noel Gallagher of Oasis going on about how wonderful John Lennon was?

Who'd have thought!

Next thing Paul Weller will be saying how much of a Mod he is, John Barrowman will be mentioning he's gay and Adrian Chiles will be telling us he's a West Brom fan.

Nope, written from the heart. John made a lot of life mistakes but one thing he always was - was sincere.  He was asking for equality - peace for the world. What`s self indulgent about that?
I don't know Scotty - it is all about perception and to me this song just screamed cliche.

Don't get me wrong - I love the Beatles and I did love some of the post Beatle stuff. But this one i hated. I also hated " Merry Christmas ( war is over)."

Everybody loves you when you're 6' in the ground
Don't agree with that either.

Don't think me and him would have got on too well. I aint horizontally chilled like Yoko

I like this one but I don't know who said it:

It's not the length of the life or the depth of the grave, in the end you'll be measured by the love that you gave.

I'm anticipating a small service
