Well, three maybe? There hardly seems to be anyone capable of making really great movies any more. If you ever get disillusioned check out literally anything by the  aforementioned and you won't be disappointed. Well you might be, but if you are, don't tell me (I won't care).

Sorry, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. I watched Blood Simple again last night. It was made in 1984 and dances all over today's Hollywood 'epics'. Ah... the long lost art of film making...

Effortless isn't it? They always seem to cast the actors perfectly too!
Yes! They get it sooo right.
I love the bizarre quirkyness (sp) of their characters..yet they`re so real.
In an odd way, it sort of compares to how Mike Liegh`s characters are.
It will never happen but I`ve thought (somewhere in the back of my mind) that it would be fascinating to have a collaboration between them and Mike.

A Coen/Leigh collaboration would have more twists and turns than any normal person could deal with it

A Coen/Zombie film would be brutal. Throw in Tarantino too and watch the audience run for cover

No slim he doesn't do zombie films. He's done House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects (both absolutely brilliant) and he did an amazing job on the Halloween film remakes. He's a genius. It's gruesome stuff but amazing characterisation. I don't think you could even call them horror films other than they openly portray the horror inherent in the human soul.

No connection, but I wouldn't advise a switch to Rob's films if Fargo freaked you out he is, er, very graphic
