The thing is: Dave seemed reasonably happy with his message to start with. The only thing that bothered him a bit was the repeated comment about "staying in another week".
I think he only really had a problem after Steve's messages. Steve did get to see his kids, and it generated quite a reaction from the other HMs. By contrast, did you see Dave's "I'm happy for you, Steve" face?

His son is fifteen isn't he? My fifteen year old son would be mortified if I behaved the way that Dave has, I don't think he would want anyone to know he was related to me.

that you tube thing is all over facebook and other places and theres some bad comments left on there for the monk. i wont put the thing back up though ive seen enough of it.
so if that got back to the family then maybe thats the reason the kids didnt show, protecting them is important int it.

But surely the footage was on You Tube before he went into the house? If he thought it was bad - he'd have removed it wouldn't he?

My take on it is, HE doesn't think it's bad, if he did he would never have done such a crappy thing in the 1st place...plus his ego is so immense he thinks he can do no wrong.  Maybe it's more the fact that other people think it's bad.
