Roight! I'm off to do some laundry and stuff
It's awful because if someone has chest pains they would be regarded as an emergency - but headaches are often dismissed. It happened to someone I used to work with in the late 80's but she didn't have children.
Anyway, I have to go (meeting in 5 mins). Hope you are OK.

pengy - that's such an awful thing to happen and you are right you never know when your time is up. We recently had a death in the family that was entirely unexpected and that added to to the sadness and made it all the more difficult to deal with. My heart goes out to that poor woman's family.
ooohh it's quiet!
could be my luck luck lucky night!

I have three teenagers - ergo ... I have no spare tenners
In that case ....have one on me!
I've only got 2 of the little darlings
I've only got 2 of the little darlings
Actually - the eldest is 20 - he would be so offended if he knew I had just referred to him as a teenager!!
How funny you should say that! I was just thinking something similar. My baby was 20 about 3 weeks ago and my daughter will be 24 on her next birthday.....oooohhh i feel old
Mine are 20, 19 and 15 - the 20 yr old is at uni, the 19 yr old went to uni last yr and came home within 2 weeks, she's off to a prestigious uni in Sept (should have chosen it last year!), and the littlest is 15 and just about to do her GCSEs.
She was so miffed when the middle one came home last year - she wanted to be the 'spoilt only child'

My daughter graduated last year .... and is now living at home and having a fine time working as a waitress in an italian restaurant. My son can't be bothered at all with any form of academia and has now left 3 college courses and is a barman.......que sera Every day I live with the challenge of learning to go with the flow..... not easy for one of my temperament

Sounds like me too ... but then you read so many horror stories (like that poor girl who killed herself last week coz she couldn't get a job ) I am just happy if they are happy.Indulgent? Probably - but it works for me !!!
Right - time for my bed ... sleep well hoochie
Yes ... knowing I'm lucky makes it just about manageable!
