What the blinking hell are they doing at this time on a Friday night???

Renewing the pipes in the street, I got the notice through the door at 10.15 last night that they wanted to be in to turn the gas back on i phoned from work and said I wouldn't be in today as it was short notice and I was at work but would be tonight. come tonight no-one around....phone calls galore and still no sign and NO bloody gas!

I phoned at 9.50 cos someone was sposed to be here within that hour. I was told that they were on site. I then said I couldn't see them in the street. But they may be down the street and round the corner. I can't hear any work being done though and I've been to the gate.
