Strange in a sense I can't quite work out what the problem is. Is it that there are few black, asian, Iranian, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Swedish... people on the panel or that no black actors have been nominated.

I think I need to read more about the issues to be honest. If it transpires that no black actors have been nominated because no black actor has put in a performance worthy of nomination then I'm fine with that, but if it's people discriminating and as such preventing black actors being nominated then that is just wrong. But I'm all for nomination on merit, not colour. If it turns out the academy is corrupt and has been for years then it sort of renders the awards worthless and ultimately all winners winning under false pretences and it should be scratched from the history books, a bit like Lance Armstrong has.
