I thought it would be finished by now.
Still not started - just showing Cambridge boat sinking in 1978.
Just checked, it's not due to start until 5:55.

Was it your Alma Mater?
Personally I have never picked a side. They are both winners

Cambridge are the underdog - and as an Englishman we must support the underdog.
Oxford has won the last two races - so its Cambridge's time.
I have "Alma Mater'd" Oxford . . . as a tourist
It's raining!

But Oxford are trying to catch Cambridge up.
Cambridge 81 wins
Oxford 77 wins.
So should you not want Oxford to win as history would suggest they have won less encounters.
âĶand one dead heat in 1877.
Well i know Oxford are lower historically BUT if you look back over the last 10-15yrs its Oxford dominant
Oxford won the reserve race....comfortably!

Ah, you see I remember the Oxford dominance 1861-1869 and 1890-1898. Glorious days.
Between 1976 and 1992 Cambridge only won once!!

Stupid spectators thinking their moblie phones will get a good picture at that distance !! *rolls eyes*
Something weired happened to Cambridge and Oxford have pulled about 2 lengths ahead. Maybe hubby will be proved to be right.

Harry Carpenter at the Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race 1977 - "Ah, isn't that nice. The wife of the Cambridge President is kissing the Cox of the Oxford Crew."
Ooooh controversial

Nah, not really - but they have to go through the motions.
Well a slightly disappointing result - yet entertaining, non the less.
Have never understood why the beeb devote a whole Sunday afternoon to non coverage of the boat race, we have the same lengthy tedious fillers every year+ the last one.for a race that lasts 15 minutes, or 3 in this years case.

Its our glorious heritage
There are rumours they may be introducing outboards next year.
26.4 seconds flat!
