I'm fairly sure it's only about 2 or 3 years old!

Then you ought to be ashamed of yourself! Laugh

I think children should be locked up in state institutions and not allowed out until they can behave in a civilised fashion. Nod

Laminate flooring should be illegal unless you are in house that has both upstairs and downstairs.
It's useless in flats.

Laminate??? Eeker Eeker Eeker

We have parquet, madam!!

It doesn't matter what you have it's what the buggers upstairs have, bare floors ,fancy wood etc.get a bleedin' carpet down!

I'm ok my upstairs neighbour is a pensioner with laminate flooring,I do know when her family visit though, the noise level goes up,no insulation on bare floors.

Completely agree with you about the carpet, katty. We take our shoes off as soon as we come in, partly because we don't want to be noisy neighbours.

Seem to remember it's not just your shoes that you take off Wink

Only my jacket and shoes in the hall - the rest, I wait till I'm in the living room Wink

When you have young children and a limited budget laminate flooring is a Godsend. There is no way I would consider carpets throughout for a good few years yet.

Sorry if your neighbours were a bit noisy for you, i'm sure in ny tenancy agreement it specifically states that acceptable noise includes footsteps, children playing and white goods.

I might be guilty of the child and the laminate combo (and living in a flat), however mine is tucked up in bed by 7.30 week nights and we're usually out most of the weekend.

If you're really bothered by it have a word with your neighbour. I'm sure they'll be reasonable.
Towno :)
