We've had food threads before and I loved them.  I love hearing about what people are making/eating/wanting  so I want to know:

What's for dinner today?

What are you eating now?

What's for Christmas dinner?

How do I make that?

but my first question is......

What should I make for starters for xmas dinner??  My lot are picky eaters, 1 doesn't like soup, only 1 likes egg mayo, no-one likes prawns, only 1 likes salad etc etc.

Something simple, quick and with not too much cooking involved.  Any ideas?  What are you making?

Sooz....my kids love those pizza things.  Actually my OH would eat that too so maybe I can do egg mayo for me that for those 3!

My eldest wants tuna vol au vonts for starters....3 of us eat those but the OH doesn't.

TBH - Jack will probably have a go at anything but Harry is incredibly fussy - he was given the choice of Bruscheta (french bread pizza) or Fish Fingers cut up to look like Scampi..........................I'm nothing if not inventive!

At least you try, Sooz.  My youngest eats no vegetables or potatoes at all  exactly like his daddy.

I feel a bit sick now.  I had chinese for dinner but ate too much (as usual).

Salt and Chilli chicken with chicken chow mein and curry sauce.

Singapore Vermicelli (NO prawns!) fried rice and curry sauce ordered 10mins ago

Noodles AND rice??  I usually have one or the other.

Has to be the Vermicelli noodles though, not while fussed on the thick ones.

And that is exactly like my oldest grandson and his Dad (my oldest son) they don't even like ketchup or baked beans - Harry doesn't even eat chips. I have had years of practice at being inventive - nothing worked on my oldest - the younger two eat almost anything now but they could be a bit picky when they were kids.

My kids are chalk and cheese.  My eldest would kill you for a plate of carrots and sweetcorn whereas my youngest would cry his heart out if you even say he's getting vegetables for dinner.

And of the two it's the youngest who is a lot fitter and plays plays a lot of football and the eldest is on the chubbier side and can't walk the length of himself without moaning

I don't eat them very often either but then when I do, I wonder why I don't have them regularly!

I'm having a late dinner tonight because we've been wrapping pressies and stuff and the kids have had dinner at granny's house.  I've raided the freezer and I've put on....

spicy chicken bites

garlic mushrooms

Onion rings

mexican wedges

chicken spring rolls

and there will be dips of mayo, chilli sauce and piri piri mayo.

some silly b@stard in the pub said come round as early as you can

That silly b@stard really ought to be escorted to and from the pub (and gagged) at certain times of the year....
