The best fish 'n' chips I had was on a family holiday to Scarborough when I was young. I can't remember the name of the place but they were the biz!

I can only remember the worst fish and chips I ever had - in St Ives in Cornwall

Just our local chippy..    Most chippies have OK fish and chips.    and most are pretty much the same.

Name names Rexi, we need to be making notes so we don't get served some grim creature from the Mariana Trench with a beak and tentacles after asking for cod

The Viking in Largs does nice fish & chips.

Gormons in Newcastle Upon Tyne is very popular, i know people travel miles to taste their fish and chips, and there is always queue's out the door.

Oh gawd - I can't remember They did have a sign outside saying 'best fish and chips in Cornwall' ... but I spect they all do that

There are Harry Ramsden's up and down the country but the best one is in Bournemouth right on the beach and on a sunny day you sholuld just have enough time to nab a deckchair and scoff your scoffs before the beach patrol come along and make you pay for the privilege  <laughs heartily>

Can't even remember the chip shop they came from..  but the best fish n chips I ever had ..   was straight after I came out of the dental surgeons having had 4 wisdom teeth out, under anaesthetic.   I'd had to fast all day, the dentist said I probably wouldn't be able to manage anything but soup for a day or two..    

yeah right.. I was starving!    I wolfed then down, chewing only on my front teeth trying to ignore the blood marks left on the chips I took a bit out of!

The Busy Bee in New Brighton..fish n chips tub of curry and a brew, we'd take them down to the marina and watch the jet skiers while eating them in the car....

Awww I have'nt got a clue, its been about 6yrs since I was there but I imagine so, people used to travel miles for their F&C....
