My husband has ordered about 4 of the digitally remastered ones that are out today. They are expected to take up to 14 places in the top 20 albums next Sunday.

prepare for the second wave of BEATLEMANIA!!!
I heard about this on the news. Are they expensive?
Please please me. (out of nostalgia, first album I ever bought)
Magical mystery tour.
SPLHCB
The White Album
Abbey Road
Let it be.
The rest of 'em I don't think will benefit from remastering. I don't really like 'em enough even though I have 'em all.

Just normal album price...we always get all CD's off play.com..they tend to be a bit cheaper cos they haven't the overheads and P & P is free,
He also bought the complete mr Benn Series I might add!

Oh thanks. Yeah I get my cds and books off Play.com - very good prices on there
the beatles rock band is out today 9.9.2009 launch - i bet that's expensive
look everyone - it's the beatles
I'm not a massive Beatles fan, although I did download My Sweet Lord by GH just the other night.
When they say they have digitally remastered
them, what does that actually mean to the listener.

Its all been timed to coincide I think.
Heather Mills will be kicking herself (or not!)
Will there be a digitally remastered Greatest Hits album, I wonder, or is that sacrilege? *Gets coat*

Β£40 quid Lil.
the greatest rock and roll band ever - and they are from the uk
liverpool was churning them out back then
the bbc have launched a series of never before heard interviews including one about their first trip to the USA - BEFORE they went
So they had to say
YEAH AMERICANS ARE WEIRD
America is really great
We love it here
and they hadn't bloomin been yet! (hilarious)
no live links in those days you see so the bbc were getting in there before they left

Just right for those of us who are the wrong side of 60 (i'm 55) Acute hearing loss brought on by too many Who, Groundhogs, and Led Zeppelin concerts played at Volume 11 on poor equipment.

Surely some mistake.
I loved the Beatles in their day, and bought most of their albums.
I don't think I would pay again for remastered ones though. I've transferred the vinyl over to my pc, and love the crackles, hisses etc sound you get. Takes you back to the time.

HIYA JOE LOUD
I like that Led Zep era of metal too
Ozzy, Motorhead, Priest etc.

Not so sure I would agree with that Lil
Haven't yet would probably buy their first album, because I love the songs on it and Sgt Pepper, because I nicked that one off my mum many years ago and would love to see how it can sound any better remastered.
Love the Beatles, grew up listening to their music, and Motown as my mum was a huge fan and also love reggae as having West Indian neighbours they used to play reggae and ska all the time and I used to hear it and love it.
Why don't you get any good reggae any more??

I used to love it, although I prefered Toots and the Maytals, to the usual Bob Marley stuff.
But I was watching the documentary on Island records a couple of weeks ago and it seemed dated.
I have these 2 on CD and thats all i need, i have listened to most of their studio albums and some of the songs are pretty crap and nothing special.

I see your point but often albums have medleys, or tracks which segue into each other.
On the blue album don't you miss the excellent Abbey Road side two medley, and instead get the appalling Something, and Octopus's garden?

I think it depends on how much you are really into The Beatles, of course for the true fan, they will have all the albums and yes that medley is something that is very good and raw, its a jammers orgasm
To feel the real Beatles, i have the Cavern and German gigs on tape, not a great recording though but it is about the Beatles roots that you hear the real them before they hit the singles market.

Play are very good Croc, good with returns as well...do you go throough a cashback site? I go to ebay and Play etc through internetcashback.co.uk, you get a small percentage of your purchase back and when you get to Β£40, you can claim it...it soon mounts up...
Am I alone in absolutely detesting the Beatles? I've never liked them - Hey Jude gives me the creeps as does Yellow submarine.

I don't honestly know - the tune for starters and The Beatles - I really can't abide them, sorry.

What you saying sorry for
Oasis are influenced by The Beatles and i cant stand their music, i am not a massive Beatles fan, but some of their songs are so ahead of their time and cleverly written.
I am not a big studio album fan, i like live recordings

Beatles never went away as far as I am concerned. I already have all of their albums so do not think I will be re-buying them despite the digitally remastering etc.

I wouldnt want them because they are digitally remastered, it screws up the rawness of the 1960's recordings, dont see the point in it

Indeed
Split is one of my fave gramophone records.
I liked the Beatles, but then the Stones released 'satisfaction' and the rest is history.
