But 56 more labour seats would have meant no overall control , surely ...

I'd like to know what the final total of actual votes for each party is ...

Nope, even if Labour had got all 59 Scottish seats they would only have 290 seats - it's the Labour vote (or lack of it) in the rest of the UK that let Cameron get a majority.
