Been up all night, done in. Can only congratulate Nicola for a fair fight, and thanks for Jim Murphy losing his seat. Thats what happens when you dont have a clean fight. I have sympathy for those in England, have heard it was rather nasty. My brother and his family live at Wood Green. The posters he had from the Tories, were at follows....Dont vote Labour as the SNP will control English votes  Disgusting behaviour from the Tories, and sad that Ed lost his chance of becoming PM. All he had to say was, yes i will work with you, but wont agree if the SNP wants another referendum.

Anyway i saw Jim Murphy playing to the cameras with a can of Irn Bru . What a numpty he is  The last Irn Bru ad i saw was about a fanny ,.......i rest my case
(In Scotland a fanny is a rather annoying person who is irritating to others, plonker basically )

It is the first opportunity I've had since getting up to login.

It would appear that the exit polls were not too far out (see convo earlier Thursday evening - glad I went to bed).

So the people of the country who are fed-up with DC & his party have, well, er, decided not to show him the door!

What happened?, the SNP votes aside, I'm currently seeing a sea of blue and a "+22" for seats gained and a total of 325 with 8 to declare.

Yes Sprouty, I do find it rather strange given the seemingly high level of dislike for DC & Co, that the result we get is nothing like what I expected. I just think that there are thousands of closet Con voters or all those who dislike actually don't vote - I don't know, just scratching the old bonce.

As the only Tory voter around here at the moment I don't consider myself either, selfish, or uncaring ...I simply believe the Tory's were the best of a pretty dire bunch

I am a Tory voter too Baz so you are not alone. .

I am also on long Term disability so in a way have stitched myself up but, I have always believed you have to have businesses, big and small, to keep people in work, and I don't trust Labour or Unions to not bankrupt businesses especially the smaller ones, hence me voting for what I think is good for the Majority of the country, the workers, altho as a 'benefits scrounger' I am likely to get stiffed myself.

So Selfish? Nah... realistic and thinking of others instead of myself? Yup

I would love to see the end of Zero hours and all the other things that are not good for workers but, firstly you need thriving businesses for people to actually have a job, then sort the other stuff after asap.. naive of me? Probably..  just how I see it and why I vote Tory altho I've always been more slightly right of centre but won't go LibDem
