I have to say, Harriet Harmon sounds quite cautious and almost talking in a way which would she suggest a Con win!

All surveys are a snapshot of a few people agreed, but I was querying the accuracy of previous election polls.
Just because they went the way they did, doesn't mean to say this one will. Different times...

In general exit polls are correct. However in 1992 they predicted a hung parliament and John Major won the day.

C4 [I think] said the polls were way off for the Scottish referendum and only the bookies got it right 
Dimbleby's just hit on something....for weeks the polls have been one point in place of each other.
So now how come this exit poll has come out like that?

The YouGov estimate says less than 300 each for Labour and Conservatives with only a handful of seats separating them. SNP to get 48 and 31 for LibDem.
