It's going to be fun.  I love Brian.  Probably my favourite character in The Archers.

Did you hear David Blunkett on the wireless at lunchtime, Baz?  He's a big Archers fan but was having a bit of a moan about current story-lines

Hi Madame No ,I'm never heard him....but the forums aren't happy about some of storylines.....and I get annoyed at the abrupt changes to some of the characters personalities !

I've never really recovered from Nigel's death.  It all went downhill after that (as did Nigel).

Which Archers forum do you like, Baz?

Me too And I wanted to see the Bethany storyline develop more .....plus I miss Matt and Lilian ....and that secretary woman had possibilities .....and what happened to Darren !! So many lose ends nowadays !

I like the the BBC one ...and I also belong to another one ....

Baz

Thanks, Baz

Yes.  Mr Blunkett was also saying about the loose ends and unanswered questions, stuff left hanging etc.

I also miss Matt and Lilian.

Know what you mean about changes of character in people.  I find that Peggy is getting on my nerves - always interferring and poking her nose in.  I don't remember her being like that before (well, not so much)

Yes ....Peggy always seemed quite nice until recently .....but I do think Carol might liven things up , in a traditional Archers way

I still think Scruff will turn up, though (unless I've missed an episode or two and he's been confirmed as a definite goner)

I know No, Scruff has not reappeared Madame  .....and yes , looks like Shula could go the same way as her sister

As for the ghastly Shula; I find her insufferably smug and self-righteous and

my ideal scenario is that Alistair gives her the elbow at about the same time that Helen does the same to Rob.  The two jilted ones then fall into each other's arms.  Rob and Shula - mwahaaaa.

Now there is a scenario Madame ! I still haven't forgiven Shula for lying about Rob and the hunt saboteur !!!

Me neither, Baz.  I'm still hoping that will come back to haunt her.

Yes ...although there do seem to be an in reading number of threads left hanging these days .....but right now I am waiting to see how the DNA plot pans out

Yep ! I just hope he gets his very just desserts

Not yet though because I find the character very hilarious

Nah ....I just want him to get his comeuppance now ....they've dragged it out too long I think ....too many loose ends

It's a puzzler all right, Baz.  Do you have theory?

Yes.....the scriptwriters have lost the plot ! Seriously , all the Archers group were expecting him to get his comeuppance on Thursday ........talk about a let down !!! And what about yet more new characters......I'm still trying to get used to the new actors.....I mean Pip sounds about 40 these days

Baz

Pip has always been rather annoying, hasn't she?

I agree with you about the new characters, though.  Far too many of them turning up and, I don't know if it's just me, but all the youngsters sound like each other.  Very difficult at times to know who's talking with whom.   Thank heavens for the Grundys, Brian and Jennifer, Linda Snell and Lilian!

Regarding the Rob thing; if there isn't any skullduggery on his part, the only thing I can come up with is that the script writers knew that everyone would think he was the father so have fooled us.  I can imagine them chuckling amongst themselves and sticking their tongues out to the listeners!

Yes, I wondered if the scriptwriters were sticking two fingers up at us As for the youngsters ...I agree ...they do all sound the same !! At the moment it's Kate that is my grrrr figure As for Pip , I'm hoping she gets the job abroad and disappears into the ether once more
