french taught up to year 9 then opt for GCSE if they want to-here welsh up to GCSE all pupils

Up here, they teach some French in Primary school (in fact PB learnt some French in nursery) and it was compulsory in secondary for the first two years,

My Danish friend speaks seven languages very well...she started English and German in Kindergarten..
