OK, so I forgot  to mention that there's an Amish style community just 15-20 mins away from me in Robertsbridge nr. Battle.  They're called the Darvell Bruderhof.

God hates low necklines

Dunno, they just seem to be observing rather than considering other lifestyles.

Living in the most landlocked part of the UK you'll be unsurprised to know I don't see the beach very often unless I specifically go to the beach

Hellhole  Hastings is further on if you continue along the A21.  Most people pass the turn off for both R'Bridge and Battle on their way to the seafront but you're better off avoiding it altogether and chosing a different resort (should you want to do the whole Kiss Me Quick experience).

Ahh... nothing like a nice night in, sewing by the gas lamp.   I keep shaking my head here in disbelief.
