I have a couple of wrinkles round the eyes and if I didn't colour my hair would probably be nearly grey now, but I'm 43, and a woman of my age has these things.  It shows we have lived.

I'm lucky though, because I have naturally good skin, though I think now the change is starting I am getting a T zone again, and spots like a teenager, but I use SBC cleansers and their collagen moisturiser and find it tightens my skin and leaves it lovely and soft, and lasts for ages and ages because you don't need to buy a body moisturiser, it does face and body.

The only thing I would like is a smaller bust!!

I use elemis pro collagen marine cream, eye cream, face serum, then on a night I alternate with alpha h liquid gold or Age delay oil, followed by bella pierre or elemis or alpha h moisturiser. I don't think it delays aging one jot, but my skin feels nice and soft, and smooth.

You had me at elemis...had me utterly lost that is. Doesn't make jot of difference but I'm an ugly old scrote either way.

I toyed with botox for ages. Chickened out. I've recently invested in L'oreal collagen eye filler and am kinda pleased with the results thus far. Have seen another advert with that dark haired actress bird who keeps banging on about a virtual facelift (another L'oreal thing) so I might try that.

As for grey hair, I went grey at 24. Have to dye my hair once, sometimes twice a month. Have been tempted to just dye the whole lot silver but I'll look like a corpse.

This my lifestyle motto!

"When I am Old
I will wear Purple!

When I am an old woman,
I shall wear purple - -
With a red hat which doesn't go,
and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension
on brandy and summer gloves and satin sandles,
And say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
and gobble up samples in shops
and press alarm bells
and run with my stick along public railings,
and make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
and pick flowers in other people's gardens
and learn to spit!
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
and eat three pounds of sausages at ago,
or only bread and pickles for a week,
and hoard pens and pencils
and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry,
and pay our rent
and not swear in the street,
and set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner
and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me
are not too shocked and surprised
when suddenly I am old,
And start to wear purple!"

Maggie, I swear by SBC stuff, having very, very sensitive skin and prone to outbreaks of eczema, I find it's the only body care range that I can use that never gives me an outbreak and in fact helps it if it does, I use the Cotton bath time range and the collagen moisturiser  and Vitamin A moisturiser as well as the cellulite gels, all brilliant, all natural ingredients and more expensive but I think that it saves me money as I haven't had to renew my eczema cream since using the stuff, I usually wait until they are today's special value on there and stock up that way as they do last!
