I think it was more to do with breaking an agreement.

It looked like Sophie going hungry at the end of the show... and she doesn't even smoke.

It looked to me a deal had been made, and Lisa expected the same amount of food, whilst being able to buy fags, what about people that don't smoke? Lisa at her age could have reasoned and handled it better than throwing a strop.

Didn't they agree to spend their food money on tobacco and live off lentils and chick peas?

I thought that was the arrangement.

I think Noirin had a point when she said that they could all choose something they really wanted instead of using the money for food - when food is in short supply it's not really fair yo renege on the deal is it? and didn't Lisa show a lot of sympathy when Sophie said she was starving - didn't Lisa eat Sophies share?

In all honesty though if Sophie chose not to eat when the food came out it's pretty much her fault ....it's not as if there's anything left over for luxuries and in between snacks.

Not at all, if smokers prefer to smoke and damage their health rather then eat good food I have no sympathy for them which was what they agreed.

Cigs are not a neccessity. Food comes first and if they're willing to part with some of their allowance (for fags) then fair enough.
But Lisa wants it both ways.

Sophie is on a diet, said she did not want any thing.. Lisa had made agreement to eat lentils etc so she could have her tobacco; seems only fair she stick to that, she can't have her cake and eat it and I am a smoker myself!!

I agree with everyone. But apart from £1 per head per a day, don’t they get the basics like Rice, lentils and pasta? It was very uncharitable of them to even mention it. I can understand they would be annoyed that those two are having the best of both world. If I were them I would wait until the next basic shopping and just remind them that they need to make allowance for their food too.

Even if he did say it, the budget is for the people in the house, he's not in the house and can't dictate what happens to the food that's left surely.

well as far as i could make out....cos i didn't see it live them discussing the shopping just the bit on the h/l show.......it seems karly and lisa said they would eat just lentils and chickpeas in order to spend 9 quid on baccy......that's 9 quid out of the budget.....9 quid which could have been spent on the extra food to feed 2 extra ppl(lisa and karly) for the week......

so the remaining shopping money for food other than lentils and chickpeas was worked out for the other 7...

now lisa decides that she wants in on the food as well.....which isn't fair on the others as 9 quid has been sacrificed for hers and karly's smokes.....

though reading my post back now i've confuddled meself!!!!

What about toilet rolls, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, milk sugar etc? There are some communal necessities that have to be purchased from the budget. I assume that they still want dibs on all of that.

The 'us' and 'them' was created very early on when they had to fight to become HM's ....there's been bad feeling from day one. IMO - it wasn't a good way to kick off the show.

I agree it was uncomfortable viewing, I also think Marcus and Noirin are now doing the very thing that Lisa has been doing since day 1

I think sophie was really nice there she realised food was running out and chose to eat the basics. I am sure her intention wasnt to feed two portions into Lisa though. When there are non smokers eating lentils.

Lisa was very quick to claim ownership of dogfaces food as well as Kris's food.

I suspect the discrepancy in budget was for two reasons: 1/ the initial budget was intended for 9 people for 7 days at £1/head i.e. £63 and they dvivvied it up between 10 people instead (could you imagine Kris allowing them to not budget for him in case he's evicted?!) so that takes them down to £6.30 each for the week. Then they'll have bought essentials like, someone mentioned earlier, bog roll, washing liquid etc. and then whatever was left divvied up and Karly and Lisa joined theirs together and bought cigarettes with the entirety of that remaining budget, choosing to eat the free basic rations that BB supplies.

BTW, there is no way that Dogface should be dieting.

Why not? They had a choice to either have food or ciggies, they chose ciggies. Their choice to not have food. Why should the others share the meagre rations with them just because they spent their allowance on ciggies? Selfish of the smokers,if you ask me.

No-one was being denied food, from what I saw.

The smokers had made a deal during shopping to spend some of their allocation on extra tobacco instead of food, saying they would get by on the basics of lentils and chickpeas that BB always provides.

Karly was happy to stick to it, but Lisa wanted grub the others had paid for, plus her fags
