Does anyone think that this is the biggest and most pointless twatting waste of money; EVER?! Seventeen billion pounds of taxpayers money is being squandered, and loads of wildlife and lots of little country villages are being destroyed, to shave 30 minutes off the train journey time from Birmingham to London. A staggering 30 minutes!

FFS, it's only an hour and 20 minutes from Birmingham to London anyway, so what the hell is the point of spending so much money and wrecking villages and widlife to save such a piffling amount of time off the journey?! Just so a few poncey bloody businessmen can get to London a bit quicker?!

If you need to get to London from Birmingham for a certain time, then leave the house half an hour earlier you dumb fecking feckers!

It's a little unfair to use Birmingham as an example. This is just the first section of HS2 and we have have lagged behind the mainland for too long. Though TBF I would rather it had gone down our side of the country.
