A mate of mine further down the Don still has several thousand.
I sold all mine, then I gave all my CDs away. Everything is stored electronically on m'PC, backed up
on DVD, backed up on external drives.

One day I will post a few pictures of my media-room. I have the room dedicated to my CD/DVD/blu-ray, VHS and Vinyl collection.

I see no end to my collecting, another property with a larger media-room is becoming a real need (already looking for a new abode).

In contrast I have a friend who is going the digital route where possible, although a recent purchase of 'Larks Tongues in Aspic' Super Deluxe Box Set kind of means he will have some physical products.

I still have, not only all MY vinyl, but all of my parents' 'hard' 10 and 12 inch '78s.

And the old radiogram we played them on as children!

Very impressive Fluffy, is the radiogram electric? Don't laugh, as kids we had the old wind-up one which my parents had replaced.  It was hysterical when it wound down and the voice got deeper and deeper

Yes. it was electric. I know what you mean though. Sometimes we'd play the 78s at 45 rpm.

I also had a 'toy' record player that ran on batteries and we got the slower deeper effect when the batteries were running out.

The record player part still works, but the valves that allowed the radio to broadcast are all dead now.

Cheers El. I did not continue the story of the Birmingham shop through to find out what happened.
