Me too. Was thinking if Rafa had gone out then Murray could actually win it, as he's the number 2 seed.

I'm swimming against the concensus. I just cannot stand Nadal. It's probably irrational, but there it is.

Andy Roddick is looking in good form. Really would like him to win this and/or Wimbledon this year. One of my favourite players

Ward just lost a lot of match points in the second set and has just broken back to level the games in the third at 2-2. If he manages to win this it will be an achievement.
Ward has gone and won the Mannarino match
(edit)..........and Nadal lost, so he plays Tsonga next!!

Are we going to see a Murray - Ward final here? Two home grown players battling it out? Now when did we last see something like that?
I know there's the small matter of dispatching Roddick and Tsonga first, but nothing would surprise.

I agree Fluffy, he's untouchable today. We haven't made a statement like that about Murray for quite a wee while. All the pundits in agreement calling it a masterclass.
Now, to make it a perfect day, we need Ward to beat Songa for a Brit final. What a treat that would be!

I kinda think that too, Ward doesn't have the same experience as Tsonga, but I hope he can raise his game and ruffle Tsonga's feathers. When else will we ever see a Brit final? I'm keeping everything crossed for Ward.

Have to admit that things seem to be going in Tsonga's favour, but Ward came back from a set down two matches ago.

Best performance I've seen from Murray. Every shot he attempted came off, it was just a brilliant performance. Maybe he might surprise a few at Wimbledon!
Though I can't see beyond Rafa.
It really is unfortunate for Murray that he's the same age as 2 players who are just that bit better than him, because if he was just 5 years younger he'd probably win a lot more during his career than he is likely to. Murray is 24, Djokovic is 24 and Nadal is 25. They'll both be there mopping up all the titles (even more so once Fed retires) throughout Murray's career.
Good point Crunchy. Take Nadal and Djokovic away and the (tennis) world would probably be Murray's oyster.
At the same time though, Tsonga put Nadal out and Murray's beaten Djokovic before, (I think) so it's not totally impossible for him to win tournaments that they are also in. Probably just a bit more of an uphill struggle.

Similar sort of scenario with Henman, I suppose. He just happened to be around at the same time as several people who were better than him including Sampras, Agassi etc
