As on C4 forums, I always speak as I find, and I find teens great Smiler

(with the possible exception of one year 11 student in my school who I would happily kick 7 shades from Mad)

I like you (as long as the Year11 isn't my daughter Big Grin )

I'm not a young person, nor the parent of a teen, but I hope you'll forgive an intrusion from a wrinkly.

I have been a teacher of teens for over 30 years and I think teens are absolutely FAB!! (word used by old hippies like me. It means great, fantastic, wicked etc.)

In my experience teens are funny, witty, hardworking, generous-when shown a need-undervalued, misunderstood......... I could go on and on!!

I feel privileged that I have helped youngsters in that difficult transition from child to valuable member of society and I get absolutely Angry by the bad press they have to endure.

Some are a pain in the bum and do themselves no favours, but they are the minority and it's an absolute disgrace that their behaviour ruins all the good qualities of the majority.

Rant over Big Grin

Couldn't agree more, as a mother of 2 teenagers, who has all their mates permanently glued to my sofa, dining room chairs, kitchen work tops, garden furniture or owt else they can plant their bums on, love having them about, they crack me up most of the time Thumbs Up and keep me young to boot Big Grin

because in some areas all you see is demons any decent kids have either had the decency beaten out of them or are kept locked in at home to keep them safe from their "peers".

however you cant entirely blame the teens as that should lay firmly on their feckless, worthless parents (and i use the term parent very loosely)
