Thumbs Up, despite the press trying to give us a bad name Mad.

It pees me off big time Darlo.

Was walking htome from work one afternoon and my daughter got off the school bus, grunted and carried on walking ten paces in front with her mate.Several parents with buggies came towards the girls and every time they stepped into the verge to let them past. Not once were they thanked.I was fuming.Am sure theres plenty of behaviour thats not desirable, but MOST teens are decent and probably better behaved than many of us were at that age.FFS if you want kids to behave well, acknowledge them when they DO get it right!

(Lecture over kids...you may go and play now!)

I'm not a young person, nor the parent of a teen, but I hope you'll forgive an intrusion from a wrinkly.

I have been a teacher of teens for over 30 years and I think teens are absolutely FAB!! (word used by old hippies like me. It means great, fantastic, wicked etc.)

In my experience teens are funny, witty, hardworking, generous-when shown a need-undervalued, misunderstood......... I could go on and on!!

I feel privileged that I have helped youngsters in that difficult transition from child to valuable member of society and I get absolutely Angry by the bad press they have to endure.

Some are a pain in the bum and do themselves no favours, but they are the minority and it's an absolute disgrace that their behaviour ruins all the good qualities of the majority.
