It's buffering - that's the expression.

A couple of seconds after it starts pause it. You should see a light pink line continue to fill the progress bsr. Once the bar is about half full you can then start the video again. You should now get unbroken video and the lighter progress bar should complete before the darker 'play' bar completes, thought a little bit of come and go might be needed.

Hi cologne,

This is a problem specifically relating to the Internet Explorer browser, I'm not aware that other browsers have this problem, certainly not Firefox Mozilla. SpiderMonkey came up with the answer a long time ago, so when people raise this from time to time I post his replies. A few weeks ago I combined his two replies with some enhancements onto one posting in the Feedback thread. Strangely enough someone else has raised the same query some hours before your post, but I've replied to that by PM.

Here's what I posted:

This is in two parts as part two may not apply to all versions of IE.

First part:
Re the avatar pictures and IE. Spidermonkey came up with the answer a year ago. I suggest you highlight the below, copy it by pressing Ctrl-C, then going over to Word or something, paste it (Ctrl-V) and print it off. This is what he posted:

Like me, you will no doubt have been suffering with the avatar/images issue where most pictures fail to appear.

I am happy to tell you that I have found a way to fix this.

The problem seems to be that all the avatars and so on are from the livecloud.com domain, but forum itself is on the gagajoyjoy.com domain.  Some how this is making IE's Privacy Protection System become nervous and it is not allowing media from the livecloud.com domain to appear.

Anyway, that being the case, you should try following these steps and see if you have the same success that I've had.

Step 1 - look at the VERY bottom of Internet Explorer, you'll see the status bar which has various little symbols.  One of these symbols looks like an eye, with a small red and white circle beneath it. (If you don't see this eye read part 2)

Step 2 - double click that eye, and a dialogue should then appear.

Step 3 - at the bottom of the dialogue will be a SETTINGS button, click it, another dialogue appears.

Step 4 - about half way down the dialogue will be a SITES button, click it, another dialogue appears.

Step 5 - Find the text box with a label above it which says "Address of website".

Step 6 - in that text box type livecloud.com

Step 7 - find the button called ALLOW, and click it.

Step 8 - in the list box below, livecloud.com should now be present, and next to it, the words Always Allow.

Step 9 - at the bottom of the dialogue is an OK button, click it.

Step 10 - close all the remaining open dialogues.

Step 11 - refresh this page to see if it's worked.

Yes, it's a bit of a long winded process but I've tried to make it as easy to understand as I can.  Let me know how you get along.

Second part:
I've had another look at SpiderMonkey's thread on this, and in a later thread he posted this which replaces steps 1 to 3:

In which case, in IE's menu at the top under Tools, open Internet Options, select the Privacy tab, and then continue my guide from Step 4 onward.

I've done a little snapshot which shows the Internet Options screen and the Privacy screen to the right - if you look closely you will see the finished result you should get. (at least on my version of IE)
