So i uploaded IE 8 and now i can't get back to Channel 4 Forums at all

It sez ... Channnel 4 is not set up to establish a connection on port "World Wide Web service (HTTP) with this computer

HELP !!!!

Maybe by downloading a new version you've disabled some Add On's. I'm still with IE 6 lol, my motto is if it ain't broke don't fix it heehee

Do you mean in your first post? tbh I don't understand what that means. Are you able to get to all your usual Faves/links/Forums etc, if so, maybe the error message is just related to Ch 4 which is down at the moment

You are welcome chap.

The avatars are set for a 48 pixel wide display. Nothing we can do about that.

However, if you link to an 'off site' image that is bigger, then if you are 'not' using Internet Explorer, you can right click on the image and "view image"

Ok now that i uploaded IE8 i got this huge wide blue strip at the top of me page taking up way too much room - how do i stop that - its massive

It might confuse you for a minute when you see what websites "should" look like instead of IE's interpretation of them

Don't know if this will help, but i have Firefox instead of IE and find it loads faster at loading pages etc;. Also Hackers forget about smaller browsers whilst concentrating on Big Corps ie; Microsoft and their explorer sites. Firefox is free and are always updating their browser.

I hope you installed 3.0.10 (or one of the nightlies) as 3.0.9 had a couple of problems and they released the fixes quickly, but it didn't appear as an auto update for some

Nup.. tried a quick test and it seems like it is either bright red or no red

No shades of red are available
