Several weeks ago I downloaded Malwarebites from CNET as over time in different places online I'd seen it recommended many times. Not long after the download I realised it was a trial version for 14 days....no one who recommended it had ever mentioned they had a trial version...and they never mentioned they'd bought the Pro version so I assumed it was the free version that was being recommended.
When the 14 day trial was up - I was alerted to that on the taskbar logo - I was thinking of removing it but before doing that I ran a scan, which as always since download didn't find any infections. After that scan I noticed on the taskbar it said "13 days left". It's been saying that now every day for around 3 weeks. I'm confused as to whether I've still got the trial version which has now run out, or, since the trial version have I been switched to a continual working version of the prog. Also, I've noticed it needs updating every day, does everyone who has it do that. Thanks for any insights.

I've got it YR and I never have to update it. It's not a trial version either.
Sorry that wasn't much help
Thanks for replying Ells I'm curious as to how I get the free non trial version which it seems everyone has but me lol.
I think I got mine from here YR
click green square in top right corner
the left hand download takes you to AVG download
Malwarebytes is set up pretty much the same as the rest, two version
free : cut down version of... Pro
Here tells the difference
From my pc view I can't see a green square top right corner Mrs H. AVG is an anti virus programme from my understanding, which is different from what Malwarebites is offering protection from...I think lol. Hubby has AVG but I have Avast as my anti virus programme.

Muf I can't see a link in your post - or is my pc deceiving me lol. No probs Mrs. H I appreciate you replying
Oops, sorry Muf I've seen your link now but I'm still confused as there are two offers, one is a free 14 day trial and the other is the Pro version which requires payment I assume. Never come across a programme that's confused me like this one is lol

Lol
The 14 day free trial is for the pro version, after which it resorts to the free version
