If you witnessed the behaviour of primary school teachers you'd understand my statement

dreadful news

It is awful news.

But Pengy, I'm confused about you saying you're surprised it doesn't happen more and the behaviour of primary school teachers? Did you mean pupils? Not meaning to be picky, I just wasn't sure whether I was missing something.

It was tonight revealed she was killed with a knife in front of her class, suffering multiple wounds - before the pupil was detained by teachers and later arrested by West Yorkshire Police.

Officers were called just before midday by the  ambulance service who were attending a report of a member of staff having been stabbed.

The incident was reported by students at the scene who also witnessed the offence. Pupils remained at the school this afternoon as police said it 'continued to operate as normal'.

shocked that the school remained open .

yes sorry I meant to say that there are a core element of children these days at primary school who are aggressive to the point of being dangerous.  This before they've even moved up to secondary school and their hormones really kicking in.  There's been quite a few incidents here in Brum of primary school pupils attacking their teachers.

Given that there are also a lot of attacks from pupils on pupils, I'm just surprised there haven't been more physical attacks on teachers.  We know there are verbal attacks and abuse via social media and I've witnessed parents physically attacking teachers when their little cherub has misbehaved.  It probably does happen more than we think but just not get reported unless someone dies

i just said the same to Mr Woo. Shocking as it is .....................I'm surprised that I'm shocked (if that makes sense) - in some schools/areas teaching is a dangerous job. Some pupils are out of control and it musy be scary to be the one authority figure in charge of a class of 30+ - it only takes a second for an unbalanced kid to lose control - knives are just too easy to come by.

Nit sure what can be done TBH. It's just horrible
