The site it comes from has it at 280x420 (or something like that) so when it first appears it's at that size, then this site shrinks it to a suitable size for an avatar.

That's lovely Hyacinth, thankee. Was worried as my stomach swelled up and thought it would burst, so drank a whole cup of salts, which helped a lot, but when I have teeth again things will be different, for haven't been able to chew anything properly for over nearly 2 months now, and my stomach swells, then hurts to blazes. Wish I could run like Angel, as that would help, but can't manage walking far, so running is out of the question. Just one of those things.

The ship's from a public site, so no probs there.
I had a scout about, but couldnt find a 'holding it's tummy' smiley.

Changed my avatar again as I felt the smallness of the avatars made the other one look a bit strange.

Er you remember, Fluffy, all that help you gave me with adding custom Avatars, well I can't make them, no matter how hard I try, they just won't stay, so used what the site's got and like the train one, and that's staying. The odd thing about the custom Avatars was they got saved as I saw that happen, and god knows where they were saved as they never hit the surface at any time. spookie

If you think they got saved on your computer somewhere and you can remember something about them, anything at all, then you should be able to locate them using the 'SEARCH' tool of your computer.

As for your problem with the custom avatars:-
It's difficult to pinpoint the exact reason, and therefore possible remedy, without being able to see exactly what is, or isn't, going on at your end. But at least you've got something that you're reasonably happy with, not stuck with some hiddeous monstrosity.

i had a little black cat, bagabones had a running doggie and now all we've got is a little square yellow face instead.

and when i click on the smiley links on the first post of this thread- which is where i got mine from, (and i think baggy got his), the site has disappeared.

What has happened?

Unfortunately the smileysupply website seems to have changed into just a forum which is why your smiley has been sabotaged. So you'll need to look around

It can get a bit con fusing as some of the sites give a heading of 'Forum code' but in fact that won't work here. Generally speaking the URL is what you need. Some sites give a UBB code which should work here, but if in doubt then ignore them all and proceed as follows:-

Right click image
click 'copy image address' if you get that option from the dropdown menu otherwise click on properties and from the box that opens right click in the 'address/URL' field. Another menu will drop down and you click 'select all'. the address should now be highlighted, right click it again and click copy then close the box.
Open a reply box here and click the little green picture icon 2nd from right on the top line. Right click in the white box and click COPY then click ok and 'post now'

Desired picture should now appear in your post.

Oh thanks, I think I'll use ones where I can get the URL and the ones where I can click on Properties as that's how I was using the smileys on the other site, many thanks again
